Clarion University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers present ‘Music of the Season’

CLARION, Pa. – Clarion University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, conducted by Dr. Hank Alviani, will perform “Music of the Season” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in the auditorium of Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center. The concert is free.

The program features a wide variety of musical styles and eras including a French Renaissance madrigal, a double chorus Latin motet by Gabrieli with brass, spirituals, novelty pieces including music by P.D.Q. Bach, Russian and Jewish holiday music, a Swahili processional, familiar Christmas carols, and music by Poulenc, Elgar, Durufle, Britten and Tchaikovsky (on kazoos).
