Deloris F. Stants

Deloris F. Stants, 62, of Sligo, Pa. passed away early Friday evening (01-13-12) at Clarion Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Eldorado, Butler Co. on May 5, 1949, she was daughter of late John T. and Mildred Mae Thompson Hudson.

Protestant by faith, she was a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society of Sligo. She was an avid follower of “Our Little Nashville” country musical group.

Survived by son James “Jim” Lonnie Stants and fiance Amy Vincent of Parker; two grandchildren: James Edward Justin (Holly) Stants of West Freedom and Amanda Brooke (Samuel) Dittman of Parker; two stepgrandchildren: Kayla and Garrett Vincent, both of Parker; niece Robin Ealy and great-nephew William Mansberger, both of Emlenton; half-sister Cecile Nunamaker of St. Petersburg; and long-time special friend, Doris Fair of Callensburg. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband James Glenn Stants whom she married May 9, 1970 and who passed Jan. 17, 2009; daughter Tammy Sue Stants who died in an accident on Dec. 16, 1981, as well as sister Carol Hosey and brother Franklin T. Hudson and half-sister Leah Geortz.

Friends may call today (Monday) from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne St., Parker, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Rev. Ken Hughes and Rev. Dan Myers, United Methodist clergy, will officiate with burial to follow at Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattenville, Clarion Co.
