PRESIDENT, Pa. – A 45-year-old man was injured in a one-vehicle crash in President Twp., Venango County on Monday evening.

Franklin-based state police said James J. Wakeford, 45, Youngstown, OH, was traveling north on SR-62 in President Twp. when he lost control of his vehicle due to “excessive speed on a wet roadway with icy patches.”

Wakeford’s vehicle spun counter-clockwise and struck an embankment.

Wakeford was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment of injuries of an unknown severity.

President VFD, Pine Grove VFD, and Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.
