Larry Everett Craft

Larry Everett Craft, 69, of 118 Pennsylvania Ave, Seneca, formerly of 707 Allegheny Ave, Oil City, died at 7 am Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Born December 9, 1942 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Everett and Mabel Young Craft.

Mr. Craft was a 1961 graduate of Cranberry High School.

He served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1965. Larry served aboard the USS Princeton LPH-6, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42 and the USS Amphion AR-13. He took part in the atomic weapons testing operation Dominique in the South China Sea.

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp at Chautauqua Lake, New York for many years and traveling.

He retired May 1, 2002 after 37 years from Joy Manufacturing as a machinist.

Larry was a member of Petrolia Lodge 363 F&AM, Venango Lodge of Perfection, Coudersport Consistory, Cyrus Royal Arch Chapter 236, Knights Templar No 44, Zem Zem Shrine and the James M Henderson American Legion Post 32.

On December 22, 1966 he married the former Mary (Penny) Stubbs, who survives.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. William R. (Linda) Thompson of Cranberry, and Mrs. John (Donna) Cornelius, Mrs. Richard A. (Diane) Eckel and Mrs. Michael (Joyce) Hughes, all of Franklin; one brother, Joseph Craft of Cochranton; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Jack Craft.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will be in Venus Cemetery.

The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
