Douglas J. Watson, 46, of Oak Road, Oil City, died unexpectedly of natural causes early Friday morning, January 27, 2012, in the emergency department at UPMC Northwest, Seneca.

Mr. Watson was born March 17, 1965 in Albany Georgia. He was the son of Carol McCreary Watson of Oil City and the late Larry T. Watson.

Doug attended Central Carolina Technical College.

He was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Oil City. He enjoyed golfing, playing softball and basketball, computer games, and the company of his family and friends.

Doug was employed as an assistant manager at the Franklin Home Depot, and had worked for the Home Depot for sixteen years.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Zackrison Watson, whom he married at the Free Methodist Church in Oil City on August 16, 2008.

Also surviving is a son, Zachary Douglas Watson of Oil City. Two brothers survive, Bob Watson and wife Beatrice of Fort Worth, Texas; Jeff Watson and wife Barbara of Oil City; and the following nieces and nephews, Christopher, Michael, Nicholas, Victoria, Jeffrey, Albert, and Jennifer; and two great-nephews, Kyle and Braydon, all of Oil City; as well as a number of cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Plum and Lille Watson, and his maternal grandparents, Fred and Opal McCreary.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 29) and from 2-4 p.m. Monday (Jan. 30) in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.

Funeral services will follow from the funeral home at 4 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Chris Hill, pastor of the Free Methodist Church of Oil City, officiating.
