Details Released in I-80 Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Crash

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – State police in Clarion have released details from a three-vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 80 in Clarion Township Sunday evening.

Police said Abner J. Munoz, 29, East Brunswick, was traveling on I-80 near mile-marker 68 in Clarion Twp. when he lost control of his 2007 Peterbilt due to icy road conditions.

The tractor-trailer slid on the ice-covered roadway, jackknifed, and struck a vehicle operated by Tamara A. Carson, 28, Erie.

A vehicle operated by Mani B. Patel, 78, Dublin, OH, then slid into the rear of the tractor-trailer.

Patel was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

There were no other injuries reported.
