Two Assaults Reported at Abraxas

HOWE TWP., Pa. – Two assaults were reported on Saturday at Abraxas in Howe Twp., Forest County.

In the first incident, state police in Marienville said a 28-year-old Life Skills Worker confronted a 17-year-old student who was bouncing a basketball off of the gymnasium wall at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The victim asked the student to stop bouncing the ball. The student then allegedly called the victim a “bitch” and punched him on the chin.

The victim attempted to control the situation and the suspect allegedly punched him again on the jaw.

Abraxas staff members came to the victim’s aid and were able to contain the situation.

Two hours later, the victim was allegedly assaulted again.

Police said the 28-year-old victim who was assaulted in the earlier incident and a 31-year-old Tionesta man were assaulted by two students at the facility.

No further details were provided.

Charges are pending.
