State Trooper Injured In Armstrong Co. Hit & Run Accident

A state police sergeant continues to recover in the hospital today after he was struck by a vehicle early this morning on an on-ramp to Route 28 in Armstrong County.

Authorities have identified the injured trooper as 50-year-old Sgt. Kenneth Markilinski, a 24-year-state police veteran.

State police say he was taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
