OIL CITY, Pa. – Officials tell exporeClarion.com that an Oil City man who police opened fire on yesterday was brandishing a pellet gun and not a semi-automatic pistol.

Police said Venango County 911 received a call at approximately 4:16 p.m. yesterday from a 31-year-old Oil City man who alleged that a neighbor had shot his cat or dog with a pellet gun. The man also claimed that a window in his house had been shot out.

Two Oil City police officers responded to the 31-year-old man’s home to investigate the alleged incident. As the officer’s approached the man’s front door, one of three small windows on the door shattered as the man thrust what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol.

Police said the man then ordered for the police to “get off his porch.”

One of the officers then fired three rounds through the front door while retreating for cover.

A perimeter was established around the house after numerous PA State Troopers and officers from several municipalities responded to the scene.

A short time later, the man put his gun down and surrendered.

Upon surrendering, the police discovered that the gun being used was an Air Soft pistol spray painted black.

The pistol did not have an orange tip.

The suspect was committed to Venango County Prison on a detainer from PA State Parole.

Preliminary details indicate the man was allegedly under the influence of prescription medication and alcohol.

Police believe the man was suicidal and wanted to be shot.

The investigation is ongoing.

Thanks for your publication. What I want to say is that while searching for a good on-line electronics store, look for a website with total information on important factors such as the level of privacy statement, security details, payment procedures, along with terms as well as policies. Continually take time to look into the help plus FAQ sections to get a much better idea of how the shop works, what they are able to do for you, and in what way you can make best use of the features.

Another thing I’ve really noticed is that for many people, a bad credit score is the response to circumstances beyond their control. As an example they may be really saddled with illness and because of this they have higher bills for collections. Maybe it’s due to a occupation loss or even the inability to go to work. Sometimes separation and divorce can send the finances in the wrong direction. Many thanks for sharing your ideas on this website.

There are many conditions where this is true because you may find that you do not have a past credit ranking so the lender will require that you have someone cosign the loan for you.
