17-year-old Girl Arrested for DUI, Teen Passenger Transported to Hospital for Suspected Overdose

OIL CITY, Pa. – A 17-year-old girl was arrested on DUI charges during a traffic stop in Oil City Wednesday evening. A teen passenger in the the vehicle was take to a nearby hospital due to a suspected drug overdose.

State police in Franklin said a trooper was notified of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on SR-257 in Oil City.

The state trooper began to follow the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of SR-257 and SR-62 in Oil City.

The vehicle was operated by a known 17-year-old Titusville girl. The passenger was identified as a known 17-year-old Titusville male.

Both were found to be under the influence of controlled substances.

A search revealed that the driver was in possession of controlled substances.

The 17-year-old male was transported to UPMC for treatment of a suspected overdose of prescription medication.

The driver was arrested on DUI and Act 64 charges and placed in Pathways.

Seneca VFD personnel and Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.
