KOSSUTH, Pa. – Charges against a local butcher who was accused of stealing a pig have been dismissed.

According to court records, theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception charges against David W. Hirsch, owner of Hirsch’s Meats in Kossuth, have been dismissed.

Mr. Hirsch was originally charged in December stemming from an incident in which he obtained a pig at Venango County Fairgrounds in August.

After examining the case, Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron decided to dismiss the charges.
