CLARION, Pa. – State police in Clarion say they are investigating a case of theft by deception.

Police said an investigation began into the case when a known 40-year-old male suspect received $20,000 from a 61-year-old Rimersburg woman to repair a gas well on her property.

After receiving the money, the suspect failed to make the repairs and did not attempt to return the money.

An investigation is ongoing.
