Franklin Girl Dies After Being Hit by Car

FRANKLIN, Pa. – A 13-year-old Franklin girl died after being struck by a car on Friday evening.

Authorities identified the deceased as Laurann Ripple, 13, Franklin.

Ripple sustained severe head and neck injuries after being hit by a car on Route 417 in Franklin on Friday evening.

She was pronounced dead at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh on Saturday morning.

Officials said the incident is still under investigation.
