Keystone Smiles Dr. SuessDr. Seuss’ timeless classic “Horton Hears a Who” has come alive this week at Keystone SMILES in Knox, PA. Keystone SMILES staff, AmeriCorps members and volunteers have transformed the entire SMILES Center into Seussville. The activities in SMILES’ Seussville include reading, art, science and physical fitness.

The weeklong celebration is inspired by the National Education Association’s program Read Across America. This annual program highlights Dr. Seuss’ birthday (March 2) as a special day to encourage literacy and teach children that reading is fun.

There will be an Open House for families of children ages 3-6 to wrap up this week and commemorate Dr. Seuss’ birthday this Friday, March 2nd from 5-8:30pm at Keystone SMILES 420 Main Street Knox.
