Titusville Man Arrested for Throwing Woman in Shippenville Sewage Pit

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, an assault occurred around 2:30 a.m. on July 28, on Ridgewood Drive, in Shippenville, Clarion County.

Police say 37-year-old Michael Strawbridge, of Titusville, and a Shippenville female left the Shippen Inn walking home when they got into an argument.

Strawbridge allegedly threw the female into the Shippenville sewage sludge drying pit, according to police.

The two continued home and continued to fight at their residence, police say.

Strawbridge was taken into custody and arraigned before District Court 18-3-01 for the following charges:

-Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another — Misdemeanor 1
-Simple Assault — Misdemeanor 2
-Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact — Summary Offense
-Disorderly Conduct-Engage In Fighting — Summary Offense

Unable to post $10,000.00 bail, he was remanded to the Clarion County Jail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 6, 2013.
