Shippenville Man Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Teen Girl in Elk Township

CLARION, Pa. — A Shippenville man pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault in a plea bargain in the court of Common Pleas of Clarion County on September 4.

According to court records, 23 year-old Ethan Hannold, of Shippenville, pleaded guilty to the following offenses:

-Aggravated Assault, Felony 1
-Robbery, Felony 1
-Indecent Assault, Misdemeanor 1
-Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2

Charges were dropped on the following offenses:

-Criminal Attempt — Kidnap To Facilitate A Felony, Felony 1
-Criminal Attempt — Kidnap To Inflict Injury/Terror, Felony 1
-Criminal Attempt — Rape Forcible Compulsion, Felony 1
-Criminal Attempt — Agg. Ind. Assault — Forcible Compulsion, Felony 2
-Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 1
-Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
-Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Police say the incident happened on March 24 around 10:00 p.m. when Hannold allegedly “victimized a female juvenile.”

The victim is listed as a known 17-year-old Shippenville girl.

Hannold is lodged in the Clarion County Jail awaiting sentencing.
