Local NewsSportsClarion’s Orr Medalist at Seton HillexploreClarionPublished October 13, 2013 10:13 pmGREENSBURG, Pa. – Clarion senior Amanda Orr (Canfield, Ohio) took medalist honors carding an 80 and the Golden Eagle Women’s Golf team finished third on Saturday at the Sally Carroll Open hosted by Seton Hill. Orr won medalist honors shooting an 80 at the Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg. The course played to a par 70. Finishing second was Morgan Miller (Seton Hill) with an 81, while Kutzown’s Jackie Clifton and Devan Everett and Seton Hill’s Giannia Gonzalez tied for third at 82. Also scoring for the Golden Eagles were Ashley Olivier (Jr. Northfield, Oh./Nordonia), Larissa Roberts (So. Sligo/Union), Lindsay Finke (Jr. Erie/Iroquois) and Kayla Lavery (Sr. Waterford/Fort LeBoeuf). Olivier was 14th with a 93, Roberts 15th with a 94, Finke 16th at 95 and Lavery 17th with a 97. Alyssa Gerhart (Sr. Meadville) participated as an individual and shot a 92 to place 13th in individual competition. Kutztown and Seton Hill tied for first with scores of 334, while Clarion was third at 362. Five teams competed but did not field full teams. Clarion will complete the Fall season when the Golden Eagles play at the PSAC Championships October 19 – 20 at Hershey Country Club.
