Three Arrested in Brookville Meth Lab Bust

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Three arrests were made today as the result of an ongoing investigation by the Jefferson County Drug Task Force.

Officials say an investigation began on August 21, 2013, into the distribution of methamphetamine in Jefferson County.

According to authorities, the investigation revealed that April Novak, 43, Michael Novak, 22, and Dean Paige, 52, all of Brookville, were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine and distributing it throughout Jefferson County.

Throughout the investigation, it was determined that a number of purchases were allegedly made at a residence on Richardsville Road in Brookville.

Police obtained a search warrant and found a methamphetamine lab inside the residence’s garage on January 8, 2014.

The three were arrested and placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.

The following charges were filed against Dean Paige:

– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility
– Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance

The following charges were filed against April Novak:

– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
– Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance

The following charges were filed against Michael Novak:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility
– Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance

Paige, April Novak, and Michael Novak face preliminary hearings on February 4.
