Vehicle Catches on Fire on Route 119

BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 8:45 p.m. on March 9, a vehicle caught on fire on State Route 119, north of Greenhouse Road, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 22-year-old Dillon C. Lines, of DuBois, was traveling south on SR 119, and for an unknown reason, the engine compartment of his 2006 BMW caught on fire.

Lines was able to exit his vehicle and was not injured.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Punxsutawney’s Elk Run Fire Company assisted at the scene.
