FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Around 3:11 a.m. on April 7, Franklin Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of 11th Street and Otter Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon police’s arrival at the scene, the suspect vehicle had left the scene of the accident.

Shortly thereafter, officers were again dispatched to Shop N Save parking lot for a disorderly male threatening a patron, according to police.

Officers discovered the suspect vehicle was disabled in the parking lot, and the male had left in a red in color pickup truck.

Officers found the truck at a residence on Bully Hill Road.

The suspect, James Michael Miller, of Franklin, barricaded himself in his garage and allegedly made threats on officers lives and his own, police say.

Officers were forced to make entry where they were allegedly met with further aggression and further non-compliance, according to police.

Officers had to taze Miller to affect the arrest.

He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was transported to the City of Franklin Police Department where he was processed and released at a later time.
