Wanda L. Carrell of Orchard Manor, Pine Township, formerly of Mercer, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after a short illness. She was 88.

Mrs. Carrell was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Leesburg, Springfield Township, to Clyde McCracken and Evelyn Rose Wimer McCracken.

She was employed for more than 35 years at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Clarion.

Wanda was of the Protestant faith and was noted for her beautiful work painting ceramics and making jewelry.

Her husband, George A. Garris Sr., preceded her in death. She later married Donald Carrell, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by: her two sons, William C. Garris and George A. Garris Jr., both Clarion; and two sisters, Doris Tarsilia and Edna Kreutz, both Grove City.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Leona Ann Garris Fresh.
