Rodney Brian Saylor, 49, of Fluvanna County, died on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his home.

He was born on January 19,1965 in Brookville, PA a son of Patricia Ann (Smith) of Sligo, PA and the late Frank Edward Saylor, Sr.

Mr. Saylor was a graduate of Union High School in Sligo, PA and the Ohio Diesel School.

He had a successful career as a diesel mechanic, having worked at Carl Johnson’s Shop in Troy and Jim Price Automotive in Charlottesville. He loved helping other people and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and three wheelers.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Tina Saylor; two sons, Dylan Shane Saylor and Austin Brian Saylor; a brother, Frank Edward Saylor, Jr. of Sligo, PA; and a special friend Mike Shifflett of Palmyra.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home.
