Two Accused of Theft of Scrap Metal in Emlenton

SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Two people have been arrested for a theft that occurred at Snyder Brothers Garage, on Emlenton-Clintonville Road, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, Joshua J. Fair, of Emlenton, and Valerie R. Townsend, of Parker, allegedly stole scrap metal from Snyder Brothers Garage sometime between 4:00 p.m. on March 28 and 8:30 a.m. on March 29.

Fair was taken into custody on April 7 and lodged in Venango County Jail on $5,000.00 bond, police say.

He is also wanted in Armstrong County for a probation violation.

Charges have been filed against Townsend for theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
