Barbara L. Sadler

2014_123_180Barbara L. Sadler, 85, of 681 High St., Victor, NY, formerly of 1653 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood, NY, passed away Wednesday (April 9, 2014) peacefully in her sleep to arrive in heaven in time for her 59th wedding anniversary.

She was born July 3, 1928, in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of the late Oran G. and L. Loraine Stadtler Krug.

Barbara was a 1946 graduate of Oil City High School and was a former Seneca, Pa resident.

She was employed by the Oil City National Bank from 1946-1957. She was a member of the Zion Covenant Church. She belonged to the Lakewood Golden Agers, and the Thursday A.M. Bowlers at the Lakewood Bowling Alley. She also enjoyed golfing and photography.

Surviving are her daughters, Leslie S. Snyder of Endicott, NY, and Polly L. Sadler of Macedon, NY, two grandchildren, Lindsey Snyder of Cortland, NY and Stacey Snyder of Rochester, NY, two sisters, Esther K. Smith of Southington, Conn., and Marcia K. Maul of Oil City, Pa., a niece, Kristi O’Rourake of North Carolina, three nephews, Gary L. Smith of Southington, Conn., and Larry and Lance Maul of Oil City, Pa.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Sadler who died March 28, 2012, and a brother Oran G. Krug, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
