Alfred W. Porter, Jr., 52, of Seysler Road, Franklin died at 11:41 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence.

Born July 2, 1961 in Franklin, PA, Alfred was the son of Alfred and Margaret (Ferringer) Porter.

Alfred was a 1980 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. He attended Abundant Life Fellowship Church. He enjoyed watching services from the Christ United Methodist Church on television.

Mr. Porter is survived by his father, Alfred W. Porter, Sr. of Franklin and his brother, Charles S. Porter of Sugarcreek.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Ferringer) Porter in 2007.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin is handling the arrangements.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery.
