53561e3c47c17.imageEdward (“Eddie”) James Kee, 5, of Bowman Road, Franklin and Cooperstown Road, Cooperstown, got his wings at 6:20 p.m., on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

Born August 14, 2008 in Seneca, PA, Eddie was the son of Frank P. Kee, Jr. of Cooperstown and Carrie M. (Freer) Kee of Franklin.

Eddie was a preschool student at the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, where he loved learning. He was overly excited to start Kindergarten this fall.

He was baptized at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and attended the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church.

Eddie had a love for life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to tell his own silly jokes. He took care of his mom, was her “little man,” and always told her she was beautiful. Eddie liked to go hunting, fishing, and spotting deer with his dad. He loved riding 4-wheelers, tractors and his John Deere bike. He also enjoyed crafts, singing, dancing, picking fresh flowers, cooking, walking in the woods, and pinatas (“Pin-ya-yas”). Eddie also played T-Ball.

He was a “little worker,” caring and sympathetic and brought joy to everyone’s life. Eddie was an organ donor through CORE.

Everybody had a story of the “Eddie Factor.” He loved spending time with his family and his cousins. He especially loved and cared for his brothers.

In addition to his parents, listed above, Eddie is survived by his brothers, Frankie P. Kee, III and Bennie W. Kee; maternal grandparents, Ed and JoAnn Freer; paternal grandparents, Frank, Sr. and Stella Kee; uncles, Daniel Freer and his wife, Erin, Dennis Freer and his wife, Michelle, Doug Freer and his wife, Beth, and Jason Kee; and his aunts, Christine Allen, Cathy O’Haver her husband, Patrick, and Melissa Konetsky and her husband, Tom.

He is additionally survived and loved by his cousins, Cody Allen, Dylan Allen, Levi Freer, Anthony Freer, Derek Freer, Lane Freer, Jacob O’Haver, Gabi O’Haver, Grace Freer, Hannah Freer, Jalynne Konetsky, Juliana Konetsky, Jenna Konestsky, Shayla Kee, and Spencer Kee; and many special friends and classmates.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren In Christ Church, 160 Atlantic Avenue, Franklin, on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Small pastor of the church officiating.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

In Eddie’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County, c/o Camp Good Grief Programming, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin, PA 16323 and/or the Cooperstown and Oakland Volunteer Fire Departments.
