Amy J. ClingerAmy J. Clinger, 40, of Strattanville, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, at her home following a two year battle with cancer.

Born November 22, 1973 in Franklin; she was the daughter of the late George F. Clinger and Deborah McCleary Clinger of Corsica.

Amy was a 1992 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School.

She previously worked at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Amy was of the Catholic Faith.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge #137 of Kittanning.

Amy enjoyed playing cards, flowers, and gardening.

She is survived by her mother, Deborah; a daughter, Brittany Marie of Strattanville; a brother, Jason Clinger of Corsica; maternal grandmother, Edna McCleary of Brookville; paternal grandmother, Clara Clinger of Brookville; and a nephew, Gideon.

Also surviving are nine aunt and uncles, Fred McCleary and his wife, Diane, of Etters, John McCleary and his wife, Terri, of North Carolina, John Wright of Myola, Eileen Jodon and her husband, William, of Erie, Helen Frampton and her husband, Arthur, of Sligo, Katie Frampton of Brookville, Janie Burkett and her husband, Gary, of Brookville, Michael Clinger and his wife, Linda, of Clarion, and Mark Clinger and his wife, Rhonda, of Sligo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, infant brother, maternal grandfather, Fred McCleary, paternal grandfather, Harold “Bing” Clinger, three aunts, Marjorie McCleary, Diane Wright, and Judith Davis, and three uncles, Arthur “Yogie” Clinger, Jim Frampton, and Harold “Spike” Clinger.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, in the funeral home with Rev. Lori Parks, AseraCare Hospice Chaplain, officiating.

Interment will be held in the Miola Cemetery.

The family would like to thank and all the doctors and nurses at UPMC Seneca, AseraCare of Brookville, and the oncology unit at Kittanning Hospital, and  a special thank you to Dr. Randy Kreider.
