Lanny Charles Ross

Lanny Charles Ross, 57, of 315 State St. Oil City, PA. died at 2:55 P.M. Monday June 30 on Route 27 in Pittsfield when a tree fell and struck the truck he was driving.

Born Sept. 15, 1956 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of Glenn & Martha J. Brannon Ross of Oil City.

Lanny was married on Jan. 27, 1975 in Franklin, PA. to Kathleen A. Sayers and she survives.

He had currently been working for McDowell Trucking out of Grove City.

Lanny loved driving trucks, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He also enjoyed camping, boating, riding motorcycles and FORD trucks.

In addition to his wife and parents of Oil City, he is survived by his three children; Traci Hartzell of Franklin, Gregory Ross and his fiance, Breanna Albertson, of Grove City, who are expecting a child in the very near future, Timothy Ross and his wife, Amy, of Cherrytree.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Destiny Hartzell, Sierra Hartzell, Kayla Ross, Preston Ross, Alexsis Bish, Logan Ross, Blake Ross, and Conor Ross.

Lanny is also survived by six brothers and sisters; John Ross of Oil City, Terry Ross of Rouseville, Rick Ross of Seneca, Jim Ross of Seneca, Betsy Thieme of Seneca, and Chris Christo of Oil City; and a good friend Bubba of Oil City.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister Holly and infant twin brothers.

Their will be no viewing or visitation.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
