Mary P. Stright , 76, of Mercer Road ,Franklin died at 2:01 PM on Sunday ,June 29, 2014 at UPMC-Hamot in Erie.

Born September 16, 1937 in Franklin, Mary was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Edith A. (Connell) Baker.

On November 18, 1955 she married G. Reed Stright, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1995.

Mary was employed as a Teacher’s Aide for I.U.6.

Mrs. Stright was a member of Polk United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, word puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter Susan K. Malliard Phillips of Franklin; her brothers, Lester L. Baker Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Toledo, OH and James C. Baker and his wife, Linda, of Reedsville, PA; her sisters, Ruth A. Hawkins, Edith A. Beach, and Helen L. Harris; her grandchildren, Melissa L. Richey and her husband, Adam, of Polk and James J. Malliard and his wife, Tabatha, of Franklin; her great-grandchildren, Skyler J. Malliard and Isabella I. Malliard both of Franklin; and her brother-in-laws, Lewis K. Stright and his wife, Donna, and Frank J. Baker both of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Barbara J. Anderson; her sisters, Elnora A. Baker and Martha A. Greathouse; and her son-in-law, Robert L. Phillips.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 2:00PM — 6:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Lea Guiney pastor of the Polk United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery.
