BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 eastbound at approximately mile marker 58, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 36-year-old Megan M. Whalen, of Philadelphia, and 47-year-old Ronald W. Heaton, of Greenville, were involved in the collision.

Whalen, driving a 2011 Hyundai Accent, and Heaton, driving a 2012 commercial vehicle, were traveling east on I-80, police say.

Both units came in contact with each other, and an impact occurred between the passenger side of the commercial vehicle and the driver’s side of the Hyundai, according to police.

Whalen and two passengers — a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy — were using seat belt and were not injured.

Heaton was also using a seat belt and was not injured.
