HARRISBURG, Pa. — While the review of the state budget passed on Monday night by the General Assembly is underway, services provided by state government will continue uninterrupted.

State agencies under the governor’s jurisdiction are able to continue normal operations. In addition, state employees will be paid and continue to provide necessary services to the people of Pennsylvania.

Examples of government services that will continue to function include:

· All public health, safety and emergency response;

· Services for older Pennsylvanians and veterans;

· Services for people with disabilities;

· Unemployment compensation;

· Driver and vehicle services; and

· Public parks remain open.

This is not a comprehensive list. It is meant to provide examples of the types of ongoing government services as clarification to the public.

Once a bill passes the legislature, the governor has 10 days to review it and make a determination.
