ann-barscz-obituaryAnn M. Barscz, 86, of 1006 Beech St, Oil City, died at 4:30 pm Friday, July 4, 2014, at her home.

Born December 27, 1927 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Skiba Barscz.

Ann was a graduate of Oil City High School.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Reno Mold, and prior to that at Knox Glass.

Ann was a member of St. Stephen Church and a former member of the Golden Agers at Assumption BVM Church.

She enjoyed playing cards and followed everything her great niece and great nephew did in school.

Surviving are a brother, Adam Barscz of Erie; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, including her niece Cindy Woloszyn and husband Michael, great niece, Elizabeth Woloszyn and great nephew, Christopher Woloszyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Stanley Barscz, Joseph Barscz, John Barscz, Walter Barscz, Casmire Barscz and Stephen Barscz; and two sisters, Agnes Turk and Mary Jo Barscz.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am Monday at St. Stephen Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday in St., Stephen Church with the Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Stephen Church Second Century Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
