KINGSLEY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 55-year-old man was flown to an Erie hospital following a motorcycle accident in Forest County on Sunday.

Marienville-based State Police say 55-year-old Mitchell Morris, of Chicago, Illinois, was traveling east on State Route 666 around 11:53 a.m. when he encountered loose gravel on the roadway, causing him to lose control of his 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Police say the motorcycle traveled off the roadway, causing Morris to be thrown approximately 25 feet.

Morris was flown by Stat Medivac to UPMC Hamot for treatment of severe injuries.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damage, according to police.
