5880349_Marlowe_Paul_81Paul A. Marlowe, 81, who resided in Kennerdell for more than 45 years, formerly of Cheswick, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at Sugar Creek Station.

Born Aug. 10, 1932, in New Kensington, he was a son of George and Helen Colango. Paul graduated from Springdale High School in 1951.

He married Louise A. Akins Oct. 22, 1955; she passed away Oct. 6, 2009.

Paul first worked for John F. Casey and retired in 1976. After his retirement, he owned and operated with his family business, Marlowe Excavating and Gravel in Kennerdell for many years. He was part owner in MCM Family Restaurant in Clintonville.

After many years of hard work, he retired and enjoyed going to Florida with his wife Louise in the winter. They also enjoyed to the casinos together. He took numerous trips out West, hunting with his friends.

He looked forward to going to his sons Sunday, for Sunday Fun Day and being with his grandchildren, which brought him great joy. He looked forward to going camping with his family as well.

Surviving are his two children, Kenneth P. Marlowe and his wife, Margo M., of Kennerdell, and Cynthia M. Dallas, of Kennerdell; his grandchildren, Dana L. Marlowe; of Clintonville, Daniel K. Marlowe, Megan J. Marlowe, Donald P. Marlowe, Laura H. Dallas, and Robert P. Dallas, all of Kennerdell; one sister, Edna Mae Kasmoch and her husband, Dave, of Emlenton; and a great-grandson, Caleb Edward.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife and one grandson, Edward Marlowe, who passed away April 15, 1988.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville.

Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bobbie Nelson of Kennerdell Church of God officiating.

Internment will take place at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
