Paul L. Mann

thumbs.phpPaul L. Mann, 53, of Distant, died on Tuesday afternoon, July 8 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born on September 19, 1960 in Clarion and was the son of Robert D. and Wanda M. (Young) Mann. He married Yvonne E. (Trice) on May 12, 1984.

Paul worked at various jobs including a press operator for Acme Wiring, Stamping and Forming, Inc. out of Pittsburgh. He was a life member of the Distant Volunteer Fire Dept. and was a fire warden for Armstrong County.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne E. Mann of Hawthorn; three daughters, Janelle Penvose and her husband Robert “Chuck” of Punxsutawney, Baylee Mann, and Christa Mann, both of Hawthorn; a son, Eric Mann and his fiancé Amanda Wolf of Fairmount City; a granddaughter, Ashlyn Penvose; his mother, Wanda M. Mann of Distant; and a brother, Brian Mann and his wife Heather of Distant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Mann; a sister, Rhonda Porter; a brother, Randy Mann; and a granddaughter, Grace Penvose.

Friends will be received from 2 – 7 on Thursday, July 10, at the Oakland Church of God in Distant. The memorial service will be on Friday, July 11, at the church at 11:00 am with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Distant Volunteer Fire Dept., Madison Road, Distant, Pa. 16223.

The arrangements are being handled by the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
