OI1382743722_mongoRaymond J. Dolecki ,72, of 5 Starlight Dr. Oil City, PA. passed away at 2:09 P.M. Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the Village at Andover after an extended illness.

Born Sept. 29, 1941 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Frank & Elizabeth Schiffer Dolecki.

Ray attended Assumption Grade School and was a graduate of Oil City High School. He then went to Alliance College in Cambridge Springs.

Mr. Dolecki had served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was married on Aug. 14, 1965 in Our Lady Help of Christians Church by his cousin Rev. Joseph Gregorek to the former Lucille T. (Lucy) Rizzone and she survives.

Mr. Dolecki started working at Shaw Industries and retired from Joy Manufacturing , where he had worked for over 35 years as a draftsman in the engineering department.

Ray was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and a 3rd degree member of the Oil City Knights of Columbus and was also a member at the Pulaski and the PNA Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a collector of Corvette’s having owned four over the years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Christine M. Buchna & her husband John of Erie and Lisa A. Dolecki of Erie, 4 grandchildren: Mitchell, Jessica, Trenton and Isabella, a brother Joseph Dolecki & his wife Terri of Riverside, CA, a sister-in-law Phyllis Dolecki of Oil City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Frank Dolecki snd three brother-in-laws: Joseph, Vince and Michael Rizzone.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Stephen’s Church with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan , and Fr. Joseph Gregorek concelebrating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
