MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 68, at the Interstate 80 eastbound on-ramp at Exit 62, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.
According to police, around 7:56 a.m. on July 10, 19-year-old Joshua A. Pierce, of Hillsdale, Pa., and 63-year-old Satwant K. Parmar, of Cranberry Township, Pa., were involved in the collision.
This crash occurred as Pierce — driving a 2007 Taurus — attempted to turn from SR 68 onto the Exit 62 on-ramp of I-80.
Pierce failed to see the right light and was unable to avoid hitting hitting a 2010 Lexus RX450H — driven by Parmar — as it exited the off-ramp of I-80, police say.
Pierce and a passenger, 19-year-old Darren T. McKee, of DuBois, were using seat belts; neither were injured.
Parmar was also using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.
Pierce was charged with a traffic violation.
