Brookville Police Department Conducting Civil Service Exam for Full-Time Police Officer

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — On August 23, 2014, Brookville Borough and the Brookville Police Department will be conducting a Civil Service Exam for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.

The exam will take place in the Borough Office’s multi-purpose room beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The written portion should last approximately two hours and will be followed by a physical fitness test. This test will include pushups, sit-ups, and a 1.5 mile run.

Once these tests are successfully completed, candidates will then be ranked, and the top candidates will be scheduled for interviews.

Candidates must have a minimum of 800 hours of full or part-time police experience. It is also required that candidates pre-register for this process. The cost to participate in this testing will be $25.00.

Candidates can pre-register by mail or in person. (Cash and checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to Brookville Borough.) When candidates register, they will be given an application to complete.

Registration must be complete by August 11, 2014. No exceptions allowed.
