ELDRED TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say an incident of Theft by Deception occurred in Sigel, Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. on June 12, when a 56-year-old Sigel man agreed to purchase four rifles that he located on the internet.

Police say the victim sent money to an unknown actor who cashed his checks but did not send the victim his rifles.

No other information was provided.
