Venago County Man Struck By Car; Suffers Major Injuries

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Police say an Oil City man was seriously injured after being struck by a car on Riverside Drive.

Franklin-based State Police say around 3:58 p.m. yesterday, Christopher M. Kline, 23, of Oil City, was traveling on Riverside Drive (SR-62) near Upper Sage Run Road when his 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt left the right side of the roadway and struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as Richie Sayles, 55, of Oil City, suffered major injuries in the accident.

Sayles was transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Kline was cited for a lane violation.
