Over the course of the three days there will be lots of activities for all to enjoy. The event will be started with the annual fireman’s parade, food and craft vendors will be present, there will also be rides and inflatables for children, there will be live music, karaoke, fireworks, and much more.

Shippenville 125 Year Celebration

When: Saturday, July 19, 2014, 12:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.

Festivities for the celebration will include horse drawn wagon and fire truck rides, The Keister Family Band, a Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) Representative, and a representative from Young Lungs at Play. Hot dogs will be available from the local Girl Scouts and birthday cake and a drink will be provided. A commemorative booklet by Kevin Beichner about Shippenville’s 125 year history may be purchased at the event for $5. Those who plan on attending are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
