Lynn Ramsey Goucher É!W asLynn Ramsey Goucher, 86, of 204 Cedar Ave, Oil City, died at 9:15 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Oakwood Heights.

Born August 5, 1927 in Crafton, he was a son of the late Edwin Lee and Jessie Schroth Goucher.

Mr. Goucher worked at Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation in the sales department, retiring in 1984 after 39 years of service.

He was a member of the planning and construction committee for Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Mr. Goucher enjoyed bowling, baseball, gardening, music, writing, playing board games and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to his family, especially to Ruth, his wife of 63 years.

On October 15, 1948, he was married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh to the former Ruth Hartman. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2012.

Surviving are a son, Ned Goucher of Oil City; three daughters, Martha Wong and husband David of Aurora OH, Marlene Soborowski and husband Mike of Pittsburgh, and Gail Slye and husband Larry of Oil City; and seven grandchildren, Jason Goucher and wife Meredith, Jackie Goucher, Carolyn Carlberg and husband Kevin, Stephen Wong, Jeff Slye and wife Megan, Greg Slye and Andrew Soborowski.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Edwin Lee Goucher, Jr., Blair Goucher, Alan Goucher and Albert Goucher.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Monday in Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Davis, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in North Side Cemetery, Butler.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Oakwood Heights, 10 Vo Tech Dr, Oil City PA 16301.
