Elizabeth J. “Tootie” Henry

Elizabeth J. “Tootie” Henry, 75 of Brookville, PA, died Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born October 15, 1938 in Kissinger Mills, Clarion County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Rayburn Mathers and Jean Louise Slagle Mathers.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School.

On August 30, 1958 she was married to M. Alan Henry in New Bethlehem.

She worked as a secretary until she retired in 2002.

Elizabeth was a member of Christian Missonary Alliance Church in Brookville.

She enjoyed singing, being with family, and her church.

Along with her husband, Elizabeth is survived by a son, Seth (Louisa) Henry of Greenville SC; three daughters, Jane Henry of Greenville SC, Ginny (William) Kniseley of Brookville, Molly (Robert) Murphy of Reading, PA; a sister, Bonnie Mathers Kunselman of New Bethlehem; six grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Dorthy Mathers Gahagan.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 2 — 4 pm and 6 — 8 pm also on Friday July 25 from 10 — 11 am at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville.

Friends will also be received on Saturday July 25, 2014 at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on Rt. 36 Brookville from 10 — 11 am with the service following at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, PA.
