Police Investigate Firearms Act Violation in Monroe Township

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a Firearms Act Violation occurred at Clarion WalMart, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

PSP Clarion was requested to conduct an investigation as a 41-year-old Summerville woman was denied a purchase of a firearm on April 30, 2014. She was discovered to possibly be a person prohibited to purchase/possess a firearm, police say.

The investigation is on-going.
