UPDATE: 83-year-old Pilot Sent to Hospital After Crashing Home-Made Plane Near Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Sources say a small plane has crashed near the Grove City Airport.

According to sources, a small “experimental aircraft” crashed around 11 a.m. at Grove City Airport on Leesburg Road.

The pilot, identified as Robert Scott Winder, 83, of Grove City, was transported to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh for treatment of what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration is handling the investigation.
