James R. Eakin, 60, of Clintonville passed away August 2, 2014 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Feburary 10, 1954 in Grove City he was the son of Fred and Lois (Heffernan) Eakin.

James graduated from Franklin High School in 1972. He had worked for the City of Baltimore as a diesel mechanic.

James enjoyed life and being around his family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and playing games on his computer.

He loved his cat Alley as well.

James had also accepted Christ while at the hospital.

He also was a past member of the Eagles in Franklin, #328.

Surviving is his sister Sandra Robinson of Kennerdell and her husband Dan Feltenberger; his brothers Fred Eakin and his wife Rutha of Maryland and Howard Eakin and his wife Judy of Ohio. His close friends Jeff Pratt of Tionesta and Karen Eakin of Emlenton. Numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Proceeded in death by his parents.

A family gathering will take place at a later date.

The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville is in charge of the arrangements.
