Member_137230Frank H. Buck, 84, of Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, formerly of New Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Brookville Hospital.

Born on February 18, 1930 in Piney Township, Clarion County; he was the son of the late Admiral F. and Ida Tice Buck.

Frank was a graduate of Clarion Area High School.

A veteran, he served in the Army during the Korean War.

Frank was married on April 20, 1954 to the former Joyce E. Reed, who preceded him in death on September 10, 1993.

He worked for the Gourley Packing Company in New Bethlehem.

Frank was of the Lutheran faith.

He was a member of the VFW Post 2145 and American Legion Post 66 of Clarion.

In early years, Frank was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed woodworking and watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his three daughters, Deb McKissick and her husband, Dave, of Strattanville, Patty Dunkle and her husband, Tim, of Cedar Hill, TX, and Linda Beckwith and her husband, Don, of Clarion; and five grandchildren, Justin McKissick of Carnegie, Matt McKissick of Inwood, WV, Andrea Dunkle of Long Island, NY, Andrew Dunkle of San Antonio, TX, and Ethan Dunkle of Katy, TX.

Also surviving is a sister, Clara Ion of Shippenville, and special friends, Don and Linda Musser of New Bethlehem.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; an infant daughter; three brothers, Wilber Buck, Vernon Buck, and Howard Buck; and two sisters, Harriett Bajoraites and Florence Finnefrock.

Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Military honors will be accorded at 10:45 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home by American Legion Post 66 of Clarion.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. J. Ray Baker, Chaplain of the Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, officiating.

Interment will be held in the Clarion Cemetery.
