Colin S. McConnell, 70, of Mercer, passed away at his residence the afternoon of August 6, 2014.

Born March 29, 1944 in New Castle, he was he son of Ralph and Kathryn King McConnell. Colin graduated from Union High School and Youngstown State University.

Retired, he had been the owner of McConnell Upholstery in New Castle. Colin enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward S. McConnell and his wife, Peggy, of New Castle, and Colin S. McConnell II and his wife, Barbara of Pulaski; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Brianne, Nicolette, and Tommy; and two great grandchildren, Maveric and Molly.

Colin was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
