Marjorie L. “Norton” Thompson

10561624_811867385531458_8419296763854371998_n (2)Marjorie L. “Norton” Thompson, age 102, of Tionesta, PA, died on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville, PA.

She was born March 28, 1912 in Tionesta, daughter of the late George W. and Clara C.”Albaugh” Norton. In November of 1931 in New York she married Forest M Thompson who died in 1980. She retired from Sylvania of Warren, PA and also had been previously employed at Holgate of Kane, PA.

Marjorie was a devoted Christian all of her life, she attended the East Hickory Methodist Church and was a member of the Townline Free Methodist Church.

Marjorie is the last surviving member of her immediate family with the exception of many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a dear longtime friend, Virginia “Ginger” Kiffer.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W. Thompson his wife Jacquelyn. A grandson, Kenneth Thompson. Two brothers, Edward and William “Bud” Norton. Three sisters, Pearl Stover, Margaret Baxter Norton, and Virginia Anderson.

Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Tuesday from 10 am to 11 am followed by funeral services at 11 am with Pastor James R. Evilsizor, officiating. Burial at Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
