Police Release Details in Suspected DUI Hit and Run Crash in Forest County

FOREST COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a suspected DUI hit and run crash occurred on State Route 127, 328 feet east of Ferry Lane Drive, in Harmony Township, Forest County.

Police say around 11:22 p.m. on August 6, 43-year-old Joseph A. Dachille, of Tidioute, was traveling east around a right curve in the roadway on SR 127 and lost control of his 2000 Ford Mustang.

The car impacted the cement barrier on the left side and continued east, and it then impacted the right side and came to rest.

Both the Dachille and a passenger, 43-year-old Jared L. Christian, of Tidioute, fled the scene after crashing, according to police.

They were located a short time later at their residence, police say.

Both men suffered minor injuries.

Dachille was charged with a traffic violation.

Police indicate the incident involved alleged DUI.

No other information was provided.
